Dua Lipa is a English performer and songwriter from England who was born on August 22 1995 in London United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album. The album reached the top three position on the U.K. albums chart and was awash with eight singles. This included her U.K. top-ten single New Rules and Be The One. I.D.G.A.F. Lipa received the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. Her album was certified platinum in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa was born on August 22, 1995, in London as the daughter of Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. By her maternal grandmother, she's of Bosnian heritage. Her family tree can be traced back to Kosovo city of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Her sisters are Rina and Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father, who is main guitarist and lead singer of the Kosovan rock group Oda. The music played by her father was at home, and included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started singing when she was five. At the age of nine she began singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has covered Beautiful by Christina Aguilera as well as If I'm Not got You of Alicia Keys on YouTube. In 2014 Lipa was signed to a contract with Warner Bros. Records. In August of 2015 her debut single New Love came out.
