Biles and her younger sister Adria was adopted from Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles the grandparents of Spring Texas (in the Houston region), grew up there. Simone was first introduced to the sport by her daycare instructor Aimee Borman when she was six years old. She was a student at Bannon's Gymnastix for eleven years. Biles won the floor and vault exercises at the 2009 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before becoming an top competition levels in the year 2011. Biles was a dominant athlete less than two year later. What set Biles apart was the consistency of her fun-loving personality, and the high degree of effort she put into her routines throughout every event - vault, uneven bars balance beam and floor exercise.
