Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 in 1967. Julia Fona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts that resided in Atlanta. Her father had keen interest from a young age in the stage. He acted on his Emory University campus in 1952 and also in a variety of productions that were staged around Atlanta. He joined the Air Force and while stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he acted in a production together with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, they got married and, in 1956, their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter was a student at Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in the year 1957. Walter was hired as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of the television show Bum Bum His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning local television show for kids known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project that they funded themselves. They founded an Actors and Writers Workshop in the year 1964, and it was in operation for a period of six years. Lelisa Billingsley who is also referred to as Lisa was born in the year 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
